the vette tiger shark

I was wathin car and driver yesterday and it was a special on GM concept cars. It was awesome. They had very cool F-body's[No hope for those cars anymore] but what took the show was a new Vette. They wanted to bring something back like the Mako Shark and this new Vette is called the tiger shark.
427 small block supercharged[maybe twin turbo-I cant remember] with 742 HORSEPOWER AND 690 TQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man that would be a mean car.
Prob. be close to 100k for that kind of power.
But most likely wont come out because they dont want any thing to steal the new Z06's thunder.
OH, there was a fire bird with 550 HP them ran a low 13.
Now get this, a camaro SS with 400 HP Ran it a mid 12.
Why such a big diffenrace with such a big power differance.

damn, wish i could have seen it my friend was tellin me about it. What was it on ... car n driver???

btw i would rather have them replace the Z06 with the car you are talking about.. and as for the firebirds and camaros deal must be gearing/weight/torque issues

Probably came down to traction issues or driver.

yeah they did the grand prix that way, i think it's pretty cool.

the tiger shark uses the C5R's 427 LS1 motor. it is supercharged too. i saw this car at the woodward dream cruise last year, sweet!

I think the firebird produced a lower time because of wheelspin and I believe it was a vert which prolly made it a little heavier. And they had the mighty ZL1 one there too. 9 second quarter mile times.. very nice :hail:
