theres this one kid at skool whose parents bought him a 2002 camaro 6 banger he runs his mouth talkin shiz, hes tellin me how he wants to add new ground effects and tall wing . so what im askin is im planing to buy a 87t/a im not sure if its a 305 or 350 so what would it take to beat him, and what does the 6 bangers run?

 

i asked about this a little while ago. Those new v6ers are a little faster than stock 305tpis. I THINK low to mid 15s

 

the newer ones run mid 15's if you get a 305 5-speed or 350 TPI you should edge him out, a 305TPI or anything worse you will probley loose.

 

what mods would be good so i can edge him out?

 

GMHTP got a low 15 out of a stock 2000 V6 camaro with the serp belt and air filter removed. this was with the 5 speed and performance axle options. most are probably in the mid - high 15 range. a 305 TPI auto should pull those numbers, and a 5speed/305 or 350/auto should beat him considerably. find out which engine/trans combo you are going to get and we can help you with mods from there.
