Bench race me into the 13's
Ok nuff bout my make fun honda. Take a look at my signature and tell me what you think it would take to get me into the 13's. The g-tech run below was in good air, bout 40 ish degrees, but with slight tire spin clear through first. I can drop about a 100 pounds at the track, quick release stereo. I am only running 235/60/15's. You think I can do it with these tires or not. Also I don't completely have my timing worked out. My distributor recurve kit is giving me fits. I have it set at 15 degrees initial with 30 total and its all in by 3000. Do you think this combo has what it takes to punch my 3600 pound monte into the 13's or should i just dump it and get a third gen?
well considering that a typical thirdgen weighs around 3500-3800lbs i wouldnt worry about ditching your g body . im assuming that your running a stock tc ? if your car is an ss i believe it stalls somewhere around 1600rpms , well mine did anyway , upgrade to a better stall speed , somewhere within your cams powerband . your heads arent all that great either if they are bone stock 350 tbi heads . you can also upgrade to vortec heads and edelbrock makes an rpm intake for those heads , your motor is post 87 correct ? i would definatly look into the vortec setup . also your gears , they are DECENT but i would still go with 3.73s or 3.42s

Well the motor is a 76 350 but the heads are off a 90 tbi camaro and the trany is outta a 87 camaro so its a 700r4 with a stock converter. It stalls at about 1400 before the tires start spining. A converter swap is a little outta my price range but i'm woundering if these times seem right for my combo?
