1/4 and 0-60 times for a 92 rs
I just bought my speedemon(ha) last week an i cant wait to get her modded up. I just want to know the rough estimates on the 1/4 an 0-60 times so i know where im starting from. The engine unfortunately is a 305 tbi soon to be changed to a 350 tpi or tbi. Any help would be appreciated.

i know a guy at work that runs low 10's int the 1/8 with the exact same car. Don't know what that translates to in the 1/4. The traction at the track also sucks. The best 60' time he can get is like a 2.2 or so. It's just a small local track.

most stock 305 tbi's run in the 15.9-16.2 range at about 83-85mph in the 1/4.
the 0-60 thing is up for debate really. no mags tested LO3's, they all did LB9's and L98 in their road tests. so there is no reall hard data of what it is.
you may want to visit the tbi board to see what can be doen to these motors and what swaps are easiest nd most cost effective if you want a 350.

im getting my flowmasters and jet performance chip with the thermostat this week, and maybe a b&m megashifter(looks sweet) with the b&m shiftkit. ive read about the mods on the tbi but i dont really wanna do any serious engine mods since im putting in the new engine in the summer anyway.
its so refreshing to have this car after having a mercury sable for so long. even though the sable is more comfortable and has better quality i need something with a rwd and some power. believe it or not there is a forum for guys who supe up thier taurus's and sables, www.tauruscarclub.com, an a guy there got his "bull" to run 15.7 in the 1/4 which is like runnin 10's with a camaro.
thanx for the info, im for sure going to be askin more with the engine swap!!luckily i got a technition for a uncle.

Car: '10 Subaru Forester
Engine: 2.5 Boxer
Transmission: 4EAT
Axle/Gears: 4.44
I have heard that Car & Driver got a 7.5 0-60 and a 15.7 1/4 waaay back when... professional drivers, but all cars are different... I'd say the L03 powered cars probably get from 15.5-16.5 depending on their tune and tranny.

Im going to get my smog test tomorrow. unfortunately nevada has emissions. i really hope that ill be able to pass emissions with a 350 engine because here in nevada emissions is based on the car and not the engine. so if i got a 350 the emissions would still be based on the 305. if i cant pass the emissions with the 350 im going to bore out a new 305 an just change over to tpi, if only i could of started with a 350tpi,argghhh.
