93 LX 5.0 vs 88 GTA

Ok guys, i was helping my friend install a new thermostat in his 5.0. Of course the usual bla bla bla im better then you comes up.
Now he just had a 5 speed installed last year too. besides that the only thing that car has is a new fan and hoses.

my upgrades r in my sig, should i handle him his *** or not bother???

if his 5.0 is stock like you say why the heck does he even think he has a chance a stock 5.0 vs a stock 350 is bad enough. now you have a good gear ratio and breath alot better.

I hope he can drive.....

that stang will move,but I'm not sure he has a clear idea what he's up against! your pretty much fail-safe with the built 700r4,he'll have to be right on the money with his 5-spd to even keep up,stock 5.0 H.O. aren't all that fast,I could take'em with my '93 3KGT SL V6,auto....on the highway anyways..

race him,show him what's up!

I would put him at mid 14s in the quarter, with you in the low 14s or high 13s. You should take him, but watch out for 5-speed stangs.
