mid 90's thunderbird sc
I was cruisin to a golf match that i was playing in yesterday afternoon and i was at a stoplight with this black tbird sc. It was the mid 90's body style, and i thought nothing of it. I was drinking down a soda, a/c on, bumpin some rap music. The light turned green and i hear him get on it. As soon as i hear that, i floor it. Oddly enough, i didnt pull too much on him, about a car length from about 10 to 50. He tried it again later and it was a little more in my favor the second time around. I'm sure if we got a light together and i knew we were going to race id blow his doors off, my car has to be driven hard and shifted manually to get any decent speed out of it, but what do these tbirds run in the quarter. I know they are heavy beasts, but they are supercharged. After what i noticed yesterday, im getting very very worried about my friend with a late 90's gtp supercharged. I need a cam and headers then i will no longer be worried about him.

Stock the SC T-birds aren't blazingly fast. However, with free flowing intake and exhaust they can be putting out 300hp. This is b/c ford engineers went to make it the fastest prodution ford ever (Doest the GT40 count as a production car?). Anyways, the marketing guys heard about this and said "no way, the mustang is the fastest ford we sell", so the engineers simply bottlenecked the engine at the intake and exhaust.
Basically they have a lot of potential, but their biggest handicap is still their weight.

the usual stuff.. (done to a friend's 94 that eventually caught on fire.. poor car)
carbon fiber drive shaft, 5 speed (don't know what kind), full exhaust upgrade, 20% under-drive pully, 1" lift on the supercharger (the top of it, i think..) and some 8.8 wires.. thing was like a bat out of hell.. killed all of my friends mustangs.. best race i've seen it in (street race) was against this guy with a 69 SS camaro (396) all done up.. (probably not to the nuts.. but the thing looked sweet) the camaro won.. but not by alot.. (like, a car lengh in a chalked quarter mile down a no-where road)
u can make those things haul ***.
too bad for the IRS.. thing likes to hop when doing a breakstand.
