I only know of one SC fourth gen, but no third gens.

I have seriously consider getting a Paxton or Vortech. But it opens up a whole can of worms...you would have to change to SD if you're running a MAF car...possible bottom end rebuild/beefing up...yada yada. I'm sure it would be well worth it in the end. Perhaps when I get around to doing a full rebuild.

IROCKER... Why would you have to change to speed density? Mass Air woul dbe better for a SC....

I was looking into an ATI Procharger, but they are way too much for me right now. I may just go with nitrous instead.

Umm, Nathan, a SC would blow the MAF hot wire right clear through to the exhaust on the first pass. The MAF is not setup or durable enough to handle that kind of forced air induction. Hell, mine couldn't even handle the screens being removed...damn things too sensitive.

IROCKER... I have been doing a bit of research on the power adder board about MAF/SC application's and their are a lot of S/C machines that are using MAF some of the application's move the mass air to the inlet side of the blower but some still leave it on the compressed side and are running fine w/no adverse effect's. Although it does sound like SD might be easier to tune....SR

Ahhh, on the inlet side! Interesting!

The only problem with SD cars though is the ECM is not as forgiving to mods as the MAF setup. Therefore to take full advantage of changes you really have to get into PROM burning.

I went on the site to check it out ,1990 camaro paxton S/C $17,500 (HOLY F%$K), Is it just me or do a lot of people have an inflated opinion of the value of their third gen Camaro's(Don't get me wrong I love the car's) Their is a dozen or so 85 to 92 camaro's on their for $10,000 to $17,000. Hell maybe I don't need to get called back to work,I'll just go in to business selling old Camaro's........lol

I guess someone should tell him you are supposed to lose money after you modify a car. Not sure why there is so many high $$$ 3rd gens...spring fever I guess...I couldn't remember the price the guy was asking for the SC IROC, but I knew it was pretty high. I think there are some 98 LS1 Z28s in the trader for around the same price the guy is asking for the IROC. I'm sure that IROC is a quick car, but for maybe $1000 - $2000 more, I'd take the LS1 and be hanging in pretty close to him.

No kidding, the first car I modified was a 1969 olds cutlus I put 20 grand in to the car over 4 year's and when I sold it(after some scumbag's stripped it one night) I got $400 ,That's how auto "investment's" usually work out.(at least for me).
On a different topic I see in your sig that you have an RD track bike,Where do ride it? Race or just track day's? If I don't sell my gixxer I was thinking of doing a track day this summer........SR

I guess I should change my sig to say track bike in progress. I should get the bottom end done on the motor. Not sure how long its been sitting. I picked it up as a winter project and the 400 motor came as a spare. It had a 350cc engine in it, but it was junk. I also need to get another piston for it as well. Once its up, I'll probably take it to Cayuga the most, as its only 30 minutes from where I am now. I'm signed up for a FAST school day on June 25th at Cayuga. I'll be taking my ZX6R for the day. Its only $250, and I'll probably get more return on that then any other mod I could do for the same amount for the bike. What year/size gixxer do you have?

sweet! I love those early GSXR's. I've almost bought 2 of them. I came real close to buying a 85 GSXR 750 that was all in parts for $1000 just before I bought the RD400. Only reason i went with the RD was because it was a friend that was selling it, it was complete, and i got a ton of spares.
