Info on these sounds!

I already posted some weird DISH BRAKING, TOOL BOX RUMMBLING noises from the front end of the car. The car sounds so lameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee with this!!!
I hate it, I swear its so retarded sounding... sounds like "its a pos"...

what is it? has anyone had this probleM????!!?!??!!!

Also my engine runs and never siezed when the Engine ran out of oil.. but now I might start the car.. it would go to the normal RPM and just drop to 0 agian... But if I add some gas it starts up fine. At the normal RPM and stables at 650 I belive.. or 600 whatever it is.. it also makes a weird noise I dont know how to describe it really... its like a "clunk" noise.. like "clunk... clunk.. clunk.. clunk"

any ideas?

Clunk from inside the engine could be spun berring. Does the frequency of the clunk speed up when you go faster?

Check your front brake pads, If you can wiggle your padsback and forth, or up and down, they will need to be tightened up. If you have a large set of lock-jaw pliers, you grab the top tab and the bottom tab and gently squeeze them onto the caliper. The tabs should have done when the brakes were off the car, there is also an anti-rattle clip that is located on the inside brake pad that goes back into the caliper piston. This could have broke, or rusted out.The only way to access those is by removing the pads, which means pulling the caliper off the rotor.Good luck, I hope this helps.

Did you ever check the pulley that you said was rattling in your origional post?? If a bearing or bushing is going bad (or really bad) it will make some godawful noises. If you suspect that might be it Take off your belt and start it up and see if that makes it go away. If so that find's your "clunk" and you will know where to start to fix it.
I still think the "toolbox" sounding noise is front spring /shock They make horrible noises when they lose their charge.
If you don't know how or don't have an easy way to get your car on stand's to check it yourself, take it to a Midas or Speedy muffler etc and get a free frontend inspection. ( You don't have to get them to fix it but then you would know what it need's) Then you can likely find someone to help you fix it..............SR
P.s if you do take the belt off to check for noise it might give you a check engine light (code) just disconect the battery for a few minutes to allow it to reset

I'll let you know the next time I'm out in Hamilton so I can listen to it in person. Should be within the next week or so. Did you get the oil leak fixed? You didn't drive it long with no oil did you?

I used Simple Green and rinsed it with a lot of water. It worked out ok and got rid of most of the stuff, but it's not the most perfect method.
