Dash Plates
Hey everyone, as you are probably aware of, the Ontario board has grown. Nblanchard is setting up a site of our own. I told him in his post that I would check into getting a decal for the windows of our cars that is reusable. There is a guy at work that has a company on the side that does patches,t-shirts, hats even golf towels. I know that because I have one that he made, he does a great job. I was talking to him tonight and I mentioned the decal thing, and he does that as well. But when I told him what it's for, he suggested a "dash plate". It is a small aluminum plaque that sits on the dash. We can put the logo for the new site. 86IROKZ and I thought it would be better than a decal.
He is going to give me a basic price for the plate( there is a one-time setup fee which would be incorporated into the overall price of the plate).I believe that there would be a minimum amount of orders to do this. I need to know how many of you would be seriously interested.

The sticker was a good idea, but for people with tinted windows, it might hard to see. With the plaque, you can stick it on the dash during meets and put it away in the console if you choose to do so. The plaque is just that, a small aluminum plate with, I believe, an image and/or logo silk screened onto it. Popular with car clubs. I can check both ways, sticker or plaque. I would need to know exactly what it everyone would want on it , though.
Brad: thanks , but it was suppose to have flames rising from it. Instead I got an image of it. I still like it though.

It is possible to get reuseable decals printed that use static cling to adhere to window glass.(these can be installed on the outside of tinted window's). The same basic idea that the chain lube places use for telling you when it's time for an oil change.
Just a thought...............SR

Just my opinion, but i think the dash plate is better idea, easier to look after, stands up better. More professional looking. The sticky would be ok, but after a while of putting on and removing, it begins to wear. If it could be visible through tint, it wouldnt be so bad but unfortunately
. The dash plate, you could just stick it in the passenger side corner of front window, and forget about it. I really dont think they will cost that much. After all, if this guy gives us a good price on them, he knows we may be interested in more. (ie T-shirts etc) Anyway, just a point to ponder

When you say dash plaque/plate you mean something that is not affixed with adhesive or anything which might screw up the dash pad, right? Either way I am in, as long as its not like 50 bucks or anything like that
