T-5 Transmission Question...
I tryed to find out exactly what part's were different/stronger but couldn't find a part's breakdown, I did however find a bunch of info saying that it is only rated for 305 ft/lb's which mean's it can't be that much stronger then the regular t-5, definately not worth going to the effort to replace for a performance improvement...........sr

The bearings are stronger, the case is too and the syncros are different that's why they use ATF.

1988+
The WC T5 Borg-Warner first showed up in fall of '87 with the new 1988 model year.
FYI: the T-5 showed up in mid-84 and was not modified by Borg-Warner (under GM license) until 1987. Lotsa warranty claims at GM with the original unit. This is how they new the 350 wouldn't work -- they (GM) would go broke on T5 warranty claims.
