THX for the post !

Well too bad about the RU7 option but CONGRATS on the 1LE. A bona fide true blue the real mccoy 1LE car !

A 1LE car is a very rare unit and I am glad to see it worked out for you in the RPOs. What is even rarer is it is an LB9 (305) with stick and t-roofs. I think yours is the first I have seen of this combo.

How many kms are on the car ? Also you should take a ride over to http://www.1LE.net and register your car. You ought to be able to learn alot about the uniqueness of the option from those guys.

Do you plan on restoring the car ?

RP.

I was under the assumption that 1LE cars came with no power accessories. In the rpos is lists power windows and door locks, unless I'm reading them incorrectly.

Does your car have power windows and door locks?

I just looked on 1LE.net and he does have a Players Challenge car. The RPO for the PC is R7U. Also, there is another PC car that has electric windows and mirrors, so I guess you could get them that way.

Congrats dude!

I know Kevin.. I was tlaking about him, he always has typos... so maybe the R7U was supposed to be RU7, or maybe palric made a mistake. Either way, both codes don't show up in the RPO decoder.

palric said the Players One code is RU7, right? And 1LE dood said he has R7U... can a RPO code be soo close like that?

I've always known the PC cars to be 1LE and RU7 but hey I ain't too old to learn something new. Maybe it is R7U ? Won't be hard to track down either way.

I can't remember if I have seen power doors and windows in a PC car. Doesn't make sense if you have a wreck you need battery power to operate these and they pose a weight penalty as well ? I'll check into this as well but I've never seen tilt, windows and locks in PC cars. Also, if R7U turns out to mean the same as RU7 how to you explain the t-roofs ? Did 89rock1le say he had them installed ? The car has stereo options as well -- I don't know if there was a special code for radio delete -- other than RU7.

gotta go,
RP.

doing some homework

I have made a few calls to guys I used to know who either owned or raced these PC cars, asking about what was and what wasn't in regards PC cars. They pretty much choke and puke at the notion of a PC car with any power options. They used to race them but that was along time ago and here we have somebody with the right RPO and fully loaded at that. Makes you wonder what is fact and what is fiction ? One guy says this, another that and 1le.net something else ?

S0 I am going to try and find out if there is still anyone at GM who knows about this stuff and I am going to find out if there is anyone in the Players Cigarrette company who still knows about this stuff ? If I find out anything interesting I'll make a post.
