Electric Impact Gun

On sale at Crappy Tyre for $120. Supposedly 240 foot pounds - 2100 rpm.

Does anyone know if these things are any good. I'm going to be doing shocks and struts and I'm wondering if this thing would be worth getting.

Please check ca.dsm.org Same thing for $50. Go to "Bulletin Board" then "For Sale" and under post 1/2 electric impact guns. Let me know, if you are going to get one.

Interesting site. But those are refurbished and the guy selling them for $50 is in Guelph if I'm not mistaken. Add $30 for fuel to get there and back so I'd be driving to Guelph to save $40 on something that probably won't have a warranty and if it did I'd still have to go back there to collect on it.

What I really need to know is whether these things have enough grunt to use for changing out the shocks and struts.

For Sure. We have this old *** one that puts out more "umph" than our pneumatic one at 110psi.

I am pretty sure that it will do the job for you, The only real drawback to the electric impact gun's is the size (they are half again larger then most 1/2 drive air impact's) I f you don't have or want a compressor they are a good alternative..........SR
