Who's HUNGRY!??

I'm prepping my new hedders!

I went with the hedmans for a long list of reasons.

I will be using the hedman Y pipe into a flow-tech race ready cut-out.

I'll take mine medium rare with a side RTV, thanks. I didn't know that you where supposed to bake the wrap on. Did you paint them too?

Here's the recipe:

-If headers are coated with bogus shipping paint, remove this with a wire wheel.
-Slowly baste headers in VHT (preferably aluminum colour)
-While VHT is simmering, carefully cut enough strips of wrap to serve four primaries.
-Dip the strips of wrap in some room tempeture water, and stretch them tightly around the primaries.
-Use the remaining wrap to do the collectors.
-BBQ on HIGH for 10 minutes each side (This will shrink the wrap to achieve a very tight fit)
-Fully saturate the now dry wrap in high temp paint to seal pores, and make waterproof.

Bon Apetite!

I heard headers tend to crack when they're wrapped.

I've heard alot of bad things about header wrap as well from experts including Mark A. Shields who claims it can be a fire hazzard.

The bottom line is I don't plan on my hedders lasting forever, but I want to keep my other stuff (PLUG WIRES) from getting fried while I do have them. After I cooked them, I sealed them with Therma Tec Coating. The water beads right off the wrap now.

..............And I think it looks cool J/K!!!!
