I got an update for my times.. after you left Paul, John bumped my timing up into the 6 degree range...

I went with consistent 15.8 times!!! Same everything else...

So I had 5 runs at 16.01 to 16.05, then after the timing change 6 runs at 15.84 to 15.91. Pulled off a miracle 60 ft time too 2.204...

I was scary close to James TPI305... he only had me by a nose on our last 6 runs...

Thank you JohnnyIroc for the timing adjustment! I'm gonna keep the timing and see how much it nails my mileage, if it doesn't it's a keeper...

Next year guys a new cam and headers...

No problem man.... I wasn't about to let you go home without a 15 second timeslip.

I would leave it right where it's at....

If you wanna get hardcore, pick up a degree tape and we'll set it the right way (38* total).

I got to hand it to the TBI engines. I don't know why but the car was up my *** all day. To think I bought a TPI simply because it made more stock horse power than the TBI. The real scary thing is we both have stock engines, aftermarket mufflers(me also having 3" mandrel bent exhaust), ram air with K&N filters(I also have the airfoil) and that's it. I had the 3.08 gears in the rear. I need to change my signature. My timing was set at 6 degrees which is what the factory calls for. SO MY WAS HE UP MY A*S ALL DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stupid useless TPI. That's it, I'm buying a 350 short block. All day with tire pressure at 25psi and manual shifting I was running an average time of 15.678 on 12 runs.

My worst time was 15.817 and my best was 15.551.

My car will stay the same untill dyno day so I can see how much horse and torque I was running with at the track. But next summer.................now that's when I'll be running my car with a few new mods

Anyways I had a blast with everyone and I can't wait to do this again next year.

See you all at dyno day.

For next year I'm going the cam/full exhaust route. Let's see what gives a bigger gain, a 350 drop in or the cam/exhaust... (of which I actually feel that a cam/exhaust install ranks much harder than putting in an engine...)

It was a great day running with you and I don't mind saying that your car is the better than mine. Only 3 tenths, but a win nonetheless.

those are some nice pics fellas.....i wasnt able to get there until a little after 2 o'clock, so i missed some of you guys. i couldnt get my car to run right, the carb needs a rebuild...the secondaries just dont work very well. as a result the best time i could pull off was a 15.60 @ 90.59 mph; well off of my best time of 15.32. however, it was very warm and this likely affected things as well, alhough i really think it is my carb.

either way it was nice to meet some of you guys. i had a great time. you guys have very nice cars...kinda puts mine to shame. hehehehe

Hey Scott, how do you like those lights? Pretty bright, huh. Did anyone flash at you as you drove by them? I get that alot when I am diving at night in the country. Hell, I don't think you even need headlights with those driving lights.
BTW, great pics guys. Can't wait for Sept. 21st.
