And the place I bought it from threw in this car for free. Its a 96 olds LSS and esentially its like a Bonnieville SSEI. Its a 3.8l supercharged V6 with 240hp. It goes!I now believe that my family hauler is faster than my sports car. We're going to have to do something about that.......

 

That was either one helluva pricy supercharger, or one helluva nice shop. Either way you struck gold I think the supercharger should fix the power problem... What kind/model is the SC?

 

Kewl...get there quickly and in style all at the same time. From experience, the 3800 engine is a nice ride and the SC is a huge added bonus. You'll be happy I'm sure.

 

From what I understand the supercharger is made by Eaton and runs 6 pounds of boost.This car is fast but has alot of Torque steer issues. I visited a GTP site and inquired about a smaller pulley. This is one mod I might do in the near future but then again the car is plenty fast enough for the family and any more HP might get the wife into trouble Its got every option except a power moon roof(I really wanted that ). I'm gonna have to do the Vortec 350 build I've been planning for the Iroc, just as soon as I win the lotto

 

hey nice family ride there.....those 3.8L are great motors. i say throw the new pulley on the super charger and start shocking people.

 

I thought the Series 2 3800 S/C engines were only available from 1997 on....

No you havn't. You're just clinging to that last glimmer of hope for the sunfire Naws, Hughes, Naaaawwwwwssss. You know you wanna do it.

 

The crazy j-body enthusiasts drop those in all the time hughes... in cavaliers and sunfires they usually run low 13s with nothing but the stock engine and aftermarket exhaust and intake. Building on the stock late model j bodies cant be to fun... usually 10hp tops is what most people expect from an exhaust and and intake. I guess gm performance has a super charger kit out now though...
