Blizzaks on Z28 rims

Set of 4 Blizzaks 215/65R/15..used 4 months only and minimal milage even for that. They're on a set of 1981 (<---I think) Z28 rims which are painted a med blue metallic. Tires are practically brand new and very grippy! I have since had a lot of work done to the car and do not foresee a need for snowtires for it anymore. Great tires. I can provide better pics, but here's one of them on the car.

Asking $650. (Paid $800)

D'Oh!

I meant for this to appear in the Classifieds section but I somehow managed to screw it up so it's here instead. Sorry folks. I tried to delete it and post it properly, but it won't let me delete it.

Sorry...I've already reported it to the moderators. Hope we can get in moved over.

Don't think so...I was told when I bought them that they're off a Z28 and I bought them from a good friend who wouldn't try and mislead me. I just checked in the Camaro literature I've got here. They look to be circa 1978 Z28 alright. Maybe it's just my photo that's not very clear.

This is from one of my History of he Camaro type books. I have accumulated a bit of a library over the years...

personally i have always wanted a 80 or 81 Z/28. i think they look amazing. then i would drop a nice built 355 in and remove some weight from the car and end up with a fast car.

Just to back Tracey up here, I paid about $750+tx for a 14" set of Yokohama Guardex tires with steel rims for the Sunfire. So her offer is a good deal and if you do drive your car in the winter, they are definately worth it.

Not that they arent a good deal, but I doubt you will sell them on here. Not many people winter drive their cars on the board (slade is the only one I have heard of that does infact). Wont hurt putting em in the triad though.

Yep.. I don't think any others do... I already got 15's with Winter Slalom tires... damn nice rims too, got cheap years and years ago... actually much lighter than my 16 rims...

My car is 14 years old and hasn't missed a winter... has rarely not driven either.. 300000 kms and still climbing hehe...

I drive my car in the winter - well hopefully that will be a used to...(currently looking for a cheap winter car - anyone know of any?)

The blizzaks are definitely wonderful snow tires - I remember once last winter I was behind a FWD beetle and it couldn't make it up the hill my car effortlessly went up. Not bad for a rear wheel drive car with no weight in the back!

And yes, these are definitely a good deal!

Notice that those rims match the ones in your picture of a '74-77 style Camaro- definetly not the '78-81 (80/81 Z28 wheels are, cosmetically speaking, the same wheels used on '86-88 Monte Carlo SS's). I believe these units were the standard wheels for '74-77 (in fact there were no Z28's in 1975 or 1976 anyways). Either way- the rims themselves have no specific 'collector' value. If you have the centre caps the set will obviously be worth more...

The ones in the pictures are 1977 1/2 believe it or not. Guess I subconsciously rounded up! Ha! Although on the next page, they're on a 1978 Z. Not that any of this is really of any importance to me. I'm just trying to sell the snow tires...and they happen to be on these oh-so controversial rims. Next time, I'll leave the pictures out..which is what I was supposed to have done anyway I realized after I went back and re-read the rules and figured out why this ended up in the wrong forum. Instead of tire kickers, I'm getting nitpickers.

Thanks..me too. I should have just said they were on shiny blue rims and fluttered my eyelashes and played with my hair and maybe everyone would have just left it alone.
