i'm not trying to sound rude either.
if i came across a 5.7 i would have bought it. but considering i look for a camaro for about 2-3 years and mine was the best condition camaro i could find with the lowest mileage and cleanest overall appearance, i couldn't pass up the opportunity.
i either wanted a 5.7/auto or a 5.0/5-speed, nothing else. the one i bought came with the 5.0/5-speed, but it didn't have the G92 performance axle, so i originally didn't want to buy it. but after looking at it for what it was, i thought what i paid for it was nothing.
and i still hold this feeling, because every week i have offers on my car at gas stations, coffee shops, and who knows where else. a contracter working in my neighbour's house even offered me $10,500 cash on the spot for my car. but i have big plans for the car so i said no.
my big plan: get the car in showroom condition. since i bought it i've put chips here and there. nothing a stranger looking at my car would notice, but for instance if i look at my ground effects i see chips here, chips there, etc.. etc... i also want to make my car unique. even if that means putting stickers on it like in the fast and the furious with the "knight sticker" on the supra, or something along those lines. just my taste. i'm looking at stickers right now browsing through possibilities to put on the sides of my car. i don't want to go with boring old flames, i want a cool graphic or something that will stand out.

please dont ruin your car with a white version of the stickers in that picture. your car is perhaps the nicest looking car on board. please do not wreck it. if you want stickers sell your car and buy the one in the picture.

what you're saying is "if you put stickers on your car, buy a ****box and put stickers on it". what's wrong with putting nice graphics on a mint car. i sure as hell know that stickers can be removed if i don't like them. and i rather have stickers on a car that is mint than a car that is a ****box.
are you honestly telling me you don't like any of the supras with stickers on the car? i mean, tasteful decals. i should show you a picture of my boss's mr2. he has stickers all over the car, giving it the appearance of a custom paintjob.

you're telling me none of you think a sticker similar to something like this would look good on a camaro?

Alex first of all call them vinyl graphics man it sounds like your 12 when you say stickers
. And tastefull ones look alright, but dont copy someone elses try and think of your own. The whole point is to personalize your car, and your just going to use someone elses who did theirs to be unique?I think the white IROC looks alright but the above sticker is just plain homo...

and I would do exactly what you just said, except...
I don't have the money.
If you cant afford a supra, then forget about the supra and dont build your car like a supra. If you built a supra like a thirdgen should be built it would be rediculous and vice versa. Take my advice for whatever its worth to you but if you go and **** up your car you will be getting attention alright, but it will be point and laugh attention...
Just take things one at a time, if you like the idea now, wait a few months and if you like it even more then go for it. You seem to want a new thing every few weeks is what Im saying.

Easy.....honestly speaking I always say "as long as you like it thats all that matters" but honestly think long and hard about this one! At the rate you are going with these ideas your Mint car is going to quickly turn into one of those ricejobs with the bad/chipped skirts, misaligned pannels and peeling paint.
Leave the car the way it is since it is nice, or if you do want to "sticker" something all to hell, go out and buy something for a couple of grand and do it to that, not your current ride!
Thats my 2 cents!
Dave

Do what you want!
If you think the stickers will look good on your car do it... i went through the same thing when I put racing stripes on my car.. by the way would look cool on your car aswell... hahahaha But anywhooo If people don't like what you do to your car just tell them "Hey I drive it Not you, thanks for your opinion" Alot of people do not like change do what makes you feel good... and put racing stripes on it for me!! hahahahahaha
Sorry people but no more easyspeed appearance posts for me. Its probly a bit later than most people realized this but...
Think about this:
Put thirdgen.org stickers on- we b!tched
Put SLP windshield banner and emblems on- we b!tched
Talked about putting a bodykit someone drew up in a pic on his car- we b!tched
Im sure Ive forgotten a few but now there is this talk about the vinyl graphics and we bitch...
Theres tens of thousands of nice 3rd gen camaros out there realistically so personally go ahead and do what you want with it. I will just tell myself, oh well atleast it didnt get nailed by a drunk or something...

As for the thirdgen.org, I think it's a good ad campaign for our site... its attracted some nice f-bodies that I think a few of you should see...

If you plan to keep that car forever do whatever the hell you want with it, plaster it with stickers, load up on rice mods and enjoy it - screw anybody that says anything different. BUT if you ever plan on getting rid of your car or trading it for something else at a later date leave it alone. Stickers are a very personal thing and if you put the wrong ones on you'll have a hard time giving your car away, much less selling it for anything close to wait you paid for it. You'll have to find that one person in thousands that likes exactly the same things you do on a Camaro -read over this thread because they aren't many of us here and we're all die hard third gen fans. It won't be easy at all. I'd think very carefully about this if I was you.

I think the fact that the decal is a DIRECT Fast N Furious ripoff sticker is the worst part of the whole thing.....if you're going to do it, at least be somewhat original...

Easy, why do you post flame bait? Are you some kind of attention ***** or do you actually value our opinions? It seems that when someone offers an opinion that differs from yours, you flame them. Why??
I think the white IROC looks half decent. That sticker you photchopped onto your car is very lame, IMHO.

I'll bet Mr. Painted IROC gets about $9k for his $35k investment.
Lets see -- that would make it about a $26k net loss. You can buy an LS1 with a few Kms on it for that. Your peers, or atleast the smarter ones, can buy an education with that kind of coin.
Hey EasySpeed you need to re-read the posts from IROC_ZZ4 (sorry IROC_ZZ4) about his $30k worth of 'investment' now on sale cheap. Maybe give Mr. Painted IROC a call too. Ask him if he had to do it over again ? ... or what have you learned ? ... and then see how you feel about butchering your perfectly good Z28.
I say set some modest affordable upgrade goals for your car. Make sure they do not negatively effect the re-sell of your vehicle cause one day you will want to sell it.
Oh yeah a buddy of mine had a '95 TT2 Supra AWD. New. It depreciated $30k by the time he sold it. He should have been making payments of $1500 per month instead of $1000 per month cause he still owed on it when it finally sold. Tough break eh ?
As far as I am concerned 3rd gen f-bodies don't need air brushing, wings, ornaments, dingle *****, CHROME (please !) or other such items attached by staple, JBWeld or glue, bolts, ducting tape or spit. They look fine in factory trim. I like all factory colours for IROCs and GTAs -- always have. Probably always will.
But I guess we see things differently.

eSc, you honestly think that green car looks good? What are you, fifteen?
As ashamed as I am to admit it now, I used to like civics. Don't get me wrong, I was like twelve at the time. I remember seeing CRXs (stock, this was around eleven years ago) and thinking "Hey that looks cool, I want one of those". Y'know what? I eventually grew up.
What's next, are you going to cut the front springs and lower the rear by tacking a goofy spoiler on it? How about one nice big six inch chromed exhaust tip? You might as well remove the "S" and the "P" from the SLP decal on your windshield and leave it like that.
You obviously want to make your car look like it belongs on a Hotwheels cardboard package. Go right ahead. You ruining your car only makes ours looks better. Keep in mind though, you'll get little to no support here. Anyone with more than half a brain will tell you that it looks stupid.
