Anybody got a TB plate 4 sale?

I totally screwed up my TB plate, but I had a boring plain one anyway.

Anybody got one for sale cheap? I would like to get the one that says TUNED PORT INJECTION on it if possible... but anything that looks nice will do. Let me know!

he calls and asks for Pete... I'm like "wrong number"... then he goes "do you drive a blue camaro?", i go "yes" and he goes "so you thought i was ****ting you huh? call me tomorrow"... then my brother says "WTF?" and my dad says who the hell is calling so late and my mom is on the phone wondering the same thing. lol

it's all because he gave me his phone # and its so stupid lol i didn't believe it was his, it's like the same 2 numbers repeated over and over and over for his #...

by the way, how did you screw up the TB plate itself. its just a metal plate with bolts that hold it down. i can see you wrecking the gasket, but how do you mess up that little metal plate?

I'm guessing it got attacked by a power tool. You know how those things can just sneak up and catch you by suprise.. probably waited until Easy was relaxed and working quietly away and then POW! Launched a suprise attack and by then it was too late.

See what happens when you don't use enough TB oil between fill-ups? Disaster....

To answer everybody's question on what happened to mine... Well I originally took it off and painted it blue. It looked pretty good, but when I was cleaning my engine with paint remover I got some on the plate and screwed up the blue finish. So I thought I'd just paint it chrome. Let's just say the chrome layer was too thick, and The paint remover isn't working on the tb plate past the blue anymore, so I don't want to do all the work sanding it and making a mess...

To make a long story short I want one that says TUNED PORT INJECTION on it anyway. I found somebody but thanks

Yeap like Eric said....
Soak it in laquer thinner
That will fix you all up. And should only cost a few bucks for the thinners. Don't blow yourself up though, DOn't want to see a post tomarrow. " Blew up my TB plate and went to Hospital" J/K But seriouly be careful that stuff is Highly flammable! Do it yourself and save your money.

no no but the point is my TB plate came with my 92 Z28... end of 92... they were using leftovers from the corvette...

Mine is totally plain with no graphics on it, nothing. It is just a piece of metal. I rather get the one that says TUNED PORT INJECTION on it

Then, no offence intended here- if you want a cosmetic item (that's all it is based on your reasoning)- stop whining and open your wallet. Anytime an item gets a manufacturers logo or name on it in big, bold letters you can bend over.

Z28 emblems, Chevrolet merchandise in general, engine stickers (i.e. the genuine GM "Turbo Jet" and the like), body decals- i.e. "IROC Z"- get my point? If a part is used in a functional and cosmetic way or just as a cosmetic- it magically is worth 5 times the appropriate price. GM and everyone else knows that people will pay big bucks for "fashion" items- and you're about to prove it.

I'm not going to touch it... he took it off his firebird or something that has like 20,000 miles on it. He said the TB plate looks brand spanking new. So I'm just going to put it on and that's it.

That and the fact that I'm not ever painting anything in my house/basement again. I painted that TB plate chrome in my basement, and I got in big **** from my parents because apparently the particals flew around the basement and there is a layer of chrome over EVERYTHING in the basement. Not visible... but if you shine a flashlight in the air you see silver specles flying around everywhere.
