Those two delerships that give discounts to Toronto F-Body members.

Does anyone what percentage the discount is.

There's 3 dealerships actually. Thanks to me I found the contact for the third one late last fall.

It's not a fixed percentage...I've found with experience that the discount ranges from 30-40% with the average being closer to 40%.

Are you a paid TFbM member? If not, the savings you get at the dealerships pays for your membership quite quickly if you've got a lot of big ticket items to buy in the coming months.

If you don't hear anything from Murray in a month or so, then let me know. They usually give out the membership cards at Performance World. Are you on the mailing list? If not perhaps think about it cause it's a good way to stay in touch with the members and find out what's going on.

the discount - or in truth - reduced mark-up - has saved me about $400-500 in the last 2 months alone . . .

Don't know who the third dealer is- but I have dealt with Golden Mile extensively- but last week I did not get the same discount level I was used to getting (discount is supposed to be 10% above their cost from GM)- and was told GM parts price to dealers went up with no change to list price. I am not sure whether I should be believing this or not.

Roy Foss is also supposed to have a price of 10% above their cost- but I have never compared it for verification. Foss is adamant about the parts only being for an F-Body- Golden mile gives club members the discount for ANY GM parts- i.e. I have bought parts for my '81 Monte and '92 Roadmaster with the discount. Guess who gets ALL my business on GM parts as a result of this? Foss is easier for me to get to- but most of the parts for a 2nd Generation f-body aren't available through GM anymore and I have a 454 installed- i.e. by their definition I can't buy 454 parts either as it was never offered in an F-Body. A$$holes. Someone should sit down and have a little talk with them on this- Can't buy new f-bodies and I can't buy any parts for my 2nd Gen. from them- so guess what? No service or new sales from me for Roy Foss.

 

Eric . .prices to dealers went up, and they didnt pass it along . . . tough to swallow that.
and if true - it shouldnt be more than a couple of precent, otherwise dealers would scream . . .
i have always dealt with the same guy at G-Mile - very helpful.
Ive just left the daily driver there for work, and he gets the part on my credit card - i show up at the end of the day and sign for them . . none of this "you gotta be here to buy them" stuff . .

although - even a 5 percent increase in parts prices - at the discouts makes oem a good deal still . . .
