Gettin rid of the PassKey feature

How do I disable pass key? Im sure somone here knows what Im talking about.

the V.A.T.S.?? disable it on your chip.....

This is for a 1990 buick it has a black chip in one of the keys so does my GTA tho.The problem is the secutrity feature is messed up and wont aloow me to start the car.

You will either have to remove that VAT from the Prom, which requires reprograming the chip itself, or fix the problem. It most likely is the key that is worn or even the cylinder. I take it the security light is on?? If so that is most likely the problem. The key or the ignition cylinder itself.

The problem is the security light stays off (not allowing the car to start).

I remember somebody saying something about a yellow wire. All you would have to do is cut it and replace with a resistor - the resistor being the same ohm reading as the little 'chip' in your key.
