Finished tuneup and wow...
Finished tuning up the car finally the other day... yes I drink more than I work when I'm "working" on the car
Anyway the car is running awesome. I'm pretty sure it's all stock however at least the intake has been messed with(silicone and not GM rubber gasket around seals)... but anyway I took it for a little drive yesterday and it hauls good for a stock 305 TBI IMO and with the 700R4 tranny and 2.73 non posi rear I was getting major wheelspin when it shifted into second. Yes the roads were still wet(half of it was) from snow fall earlier and I'm only running 215/60/15 Potenza's on the rear but I was still surprised. Like the tires spun in 2nd for a good second, maybe two. Think maybe someone has put a shiftkit in or do some R4's just shift harder than others?

Glad to hear she's purring for you, but I wouldn't go thinking shift kit jsut yet. My mini van with 300,000km can spin through 2nd gear if the pavement is wet. Wait till the roads and your tires are dry and then try again. But it is hard to say, until you open her up. Anyway, glad your happy with your new toy. Good things come to those who wait. Your proof.

Hmmm... alright thx for the response Kaz. Only thing that really sucks is that I should still wait another month or so to start driving it but it's gonna be soo hard. That "good things come to those who wait..." will for sure be true if I can stand waiting another month cause I'll be breaking at the seems wanting to drive her!
My TBI wimpmobile will chirp the 1 wheel peel in first and second on dry pavement...
funny though lately on dry days that I have driven it I've managed to due a 2 wheel chirp on the old 15's...
I know its a different feeling chirping both sides as the rear just comes all loose on me. With 1 wheel peel, the car pretty much stays straight and the passenger side spins...
