Maf

I heard about a "high-performance" mass air flow sensor. I think I may need a new sensor..does anyone have one of these?
I am wondering how different they could be from stock??
My problem is the car starts .... dies then starts and runs fine...Was told last fall that I need a new MAF sensor. I have posted this before. Bottom line is i DO NOT want to waste $ on a MAF I do not need. But if it is the problem.... is there something better out there.
???

Granatelli makes High flow maf's but as far as what kind of performance gains it'll bring I'm not sure.

Wells makes a better version for our cars..The sensor itself is more durable than the stock and it flows better..Are you getting MAF error codes? It could be the relay and a bunch of other things..If your engine requires the airflow then you can de-screen and file the heatsinks. But if your engine doesnt need the airflow these mods are just potential probs..:rambling off:

My screens are out....changed the relays a few years ago. I had a similar problem...but it was cold and hot starts. It is only cold (first start 0f the day)
now. Funny it started right after i had my roller rockers...ported plenum and runners done. Maybe they dropped it or something? Any thoughts?

First thoughts are vac leaks around the TB..especially if its registering MAF troublecodes..Also check the MAF hoses for leaks..
