Wow, I will never complain about changing spark plugs on my car again. It took the better part of a day to get it done and with much cursing, we changed his wires as well and this took as long if not longer than the plugs. HIs car hauls *** though, well worth the effort and when all said and done it was fun. Nothing like helping out a buddy, especially when you get to work on a hot car(1995 Z28 Convertible) on a nice day and it puts a smile on your friends face when its all said and done. I love Camaros.................

Ya took us a day to do our 96 TA, had to pull the exhaust off the one side even. But they sure do move. Gotta luv the power of an LT1.

I to have had the pleasure of changing the plugs on a '95 Z28.
Sparkplug ratchet and universal joints out the wazzoo.
My hands still have the scars from that job.
I definitely recommend changing the wires at the same time, I would hate to have to go back and change them after going thru all that .

There's a couple TFbM members that have got it down to a science...45 minutes apparently. But yeah, after hearing about people changing plugs on LT1's and LS1's, I don't complain about changing the ones on the IROC anymore.

I don't hate it enough to have someone do it for me lol
I just have the whole fear for my life as I work underneath lol.
I have two jackstands, a roller hydraulic floorjack, a mini hydraulic jack, and a wrench jack holding my car up whenever I work underneath, yet I still feel quite unsafe...
my car broke my lower floating ribs a few years ago and the rear hatch f-ed up my spine by falling on it with the latch landing on my spine so as much as I love working on it, I am freaking scared of it too...

Really the passenger side? I did Tracey's 84 and it was the driver's side that took forever, the passenger side took me 1/2 hour Originally posted by Slade1

I'll never do that again until we can get under the car though... the plug nearest the firewall on the drivers side took over 1/2 hour by itself

Of course, I fear doing my plugs even more and there's only 6 of them ;

I have heard the LT1 is an absolute nightmare... since the engine is so far back, some of the plugs are practically in the transmission tunnel.
On my car with the headman shorties and no A/C, I can do plugs in under 20 mins all from on top quite easily. But I use a wrench for some.... kind of cheating I guess.
