Today's progress - and a few questions

Well today was another long day of sanding and painting and what not else.

I re-sanded lightly my blue valve covers, the paint wasn't coming off all that well so I took some varsol. I stripped it MOSTLY but the valve covers were still 75% blue, i just said f-it because the surfaces were flat and painted over it with the silver ground paint.

I am going to leave them silver because I love the look.

I also finished my polished valve covers. I love and hate them, but I decided to sell them and keep the painted ones instead.

I finished the plenum yesterday.

MY ONLY THING LEFT TO DO IS THE RUNNERS! I started on the runners today but they are seriously a bitch to do, and especially with the lack of tools that I have (a palm sander). So I have decided to PAINT THE RUNNERS SILVER!

I think with the polished plenum, painted silver runners, and painted silver valve covers, it will look sweet.

Now my question is, how do I go about painting the runners. Can I just paint them over their casting? Or should I do a light sanding on the areas I can get at and then spray paint them.

Any input would be appreciated!

EasySPEED,

You have a lot of talent there and a hell of a lot of patience.

Good job bro.
