YRP Officers Launch Job
The biggest police force in our region is now on a work to rule campaign.

That means if you happen to live, or be travelling in the southern part of our region, don't worry about getting at traffic ticket. As of today, officers will not be issuing tickets and will be wearing buttons to support their cause. By weeks end, all officers will be dawning red ball caps to bring more attention to the issues.

York Regional Police Association members voted unanimously last night, to being job action to back contract demands. The major issues are beneifts, inadequate staffing and wage parity with their counterparts in Toronto.

Police Cheif Armand LeBarge says it's an unfortunate situation and hopes the dispute can be settled soon. While he admits there is a need for more officers, he's optimistic the situation will be remedied when the time is right.

I don't know how much of a 'woohoo' it is once 'Lil Homeboy and his fleet of "My Ford Focus is a Drag Car" friends catch wind of this...it's accidents all over waiting to happen, and I don't like the idea of being rear-ended by some dipsh*t kid.
