Thanks for the offers guys......I really appreciate it. I can't use the 16's because I sold the stock Z28 wheels. I'm going to be getting some 245/45/17's for the front and 275/40/17's for the rear. It will get done eventually. I'm not in a real big hurry because I want to do this one right. I ghetto rigged too many things on the GTA and payed for it later.
Maybe i'll bring my truck to Shannonville if my car can't make it

I'm in for the 13th as well. But if anyone still wants to go on the 9th, I'll probably do both. I thought about it today, and I'dd go twice. It's not that far. Luskville is just not that nice, and Ottodrome may be a hoot this summer, being so close, but I'dd like to do the 1/4 mile a couple different times this summer. Maybe get some different times.

Ok, both dates. Sounds great to me.
I can make the July 9th date only.
Who else is in for the 9th of July?
Who's in for August 13th?

If you all want, we can all meet up somewhere, or at "checkpoints"
and leave togeather. It's not hard to get there really. It literally runs parallel to the 401, you can see the track through the trees in winter from the 401. It takes minutes to get to once you get off the highway.

I'm in the west end if you want to meet somewhere to go down. It is easy to get there, and only an hour and change drive.
401, get off at Shannonville sign, go south, turn left at first main rd, track is on left.

Hey that's great, you should be running soon then.
I talked to the staff at Shannonville again, just to confirm things. She said on quiet cruise nights there are usually 60ish cars. That should make for a nice night. There should be some sweet cars there to see, not to mention all the thirdgens that show up eh!!!

I like the idea of the road course better myself ...but if both can be done in a day ...that would be pretty darn sweet

As Acceld said, Trigger, BOTH dates are on. People will attend either. But it is my understanding that the 13th of Aug. will, or should be the bigger one.

I still have the stock crank, but the piece in it now is a forged eagle crank. It turned out that the machine shop gave us the wrong bearings, they were supposed to be proper, but they are not obviously!! The machine shop is taking care of everything, and I should have another block by the end of the week. The main cap and block cracked because we figured we could drop the oil pump ?drive? from the top "little bar that acts like a drive shaft for the oil pump", well it was a tight fit so we carefully hammered it in, we just were not careful enough and I guess stressed some parts too much.

I'm in for the 9th, pending a strange sound from my clutch getting solved/fixed. I don't think it's too serious though.
Going to yank the trans this friday.

We'll be there, just hoping for great weather. Chris will be there as well (acceldz's old car) and I beleive Buddy is leading the convoy from the Ottawa area for those heading out Friday afternoon and want to travel together.

I'll be leaving about 4 from Stittsville.
I will go through Smithsfalls on Hwy 15 to 401, then to Shannonville (exit 566).
Are helmets req'd there?

It just being a cruise night, I would only think that they would only consider a helmet if your at the 11's and beyond. I'll have the Firegoose, not the 2.0 Sunbird, so I'll leave the helmet when I ride in that weapon. Neil, maybe Paul and myself will hook up with you at some point along the way? Ken and Chris will be down there already, so if it's pouring here, I'll call him and ask him what the skies are like there. For all you know, it could be sunny here and raining there, or vice-verca. Cruz'N and 91wtROH's are you guys going to maybe tour down just to watch, in other transportation, or are you out-out?

I really want to go and I also really want to meet everyone, but I have the block back and I will be working on the car all weekend!! You guys have a good time and I will make it to the next one for sure. Good luck with the weather boyz.

If you guys want to meet in Smiths Falls, how about 4:30 at the Tim Hortons on Hwy 15 on the way out of town?

Sounds good. I'm going to try to leave work early, then when I'm ready, I'll give you a call Paul, and we can blast out to meet Neil. I'll give you a ring tonight anyway Paul. But 4:30 sounds good.
BTW everyone, if it's raining tomorrow, I'll give Ken a call (in Shannonville) to see what it's like there. I may even call the track to see if they'll close, then I'll post here with my findings before I leave work. BUT, lets hope it's like today's showers, nice and sunny.
You can't trust the weatherman, that's for sure.

Hey Paul.
I think 15 will be ok, it has a few passing lanes. It is also a lot closer for me to go that way...I'm still going to head that way..
Let me know if you guys just want to meet at the track, or in SF's still.

We'll still meet in SF @ 4:30. Probably take 401-416 home though. Lately at night I've been missing deer, might be alot less on the 4 lane. I called Ken, but no answer, but I called the track also. They said the weather is good there, and cruise is still right on schedule for tonight. Lets pray the rain stays away.
