I am looking to find a reputable mechanic in the barrie area and I have yet to find one. I've had so many problems with people trying to over charge me, giving me hassles with parts, dealerships suck flat out...

But other than that, im looking to find someone that I know the car is going to be in good hands and that they'll be able to fix things properly.

If anyone knows of anyone plz let me know!

Im located in Wasaga Beach, but im looking for someone who I can count on for repairs, parts, upgrades etc.

Just to find a good mechanic that knows what he's doing and has worked on our type of cars before.

Last one I went to was a bone head and he was the one who rebuilt the lower end of my engine and told me there was no break in period for the new parts. Just said get in and go. He also left the cruise control vacuum line WIDE open and used 3 vacuum hose adapters to connect that line to the intake plenum.

I also want someone who isnt afraid to do something because it "might" break something ie: flushing the entire cooling system to clean out all junk inside.

Newmarket isn't out of the way since I am able to get to barrie or alliston or anywhere in between. I just dont want to have to goto Toronto to get general maintenance done on the car at a good shop. My problem is since I have to drive the car there and generally pick it up the same day to get back home. If its closer I can at least get my dad to follow me down so I can leave the car for however long it is needed.

 

What colour is your Iroc? I'm near Newmarket am always driving somewhere

general maintainance....i know alot of people will boo me...but honestly, the midas here in town are really nice and they know what they are doing.

My boss has a 69 camaro ss and he takes it there all the time..

i take my iroc there for exaust and what not.

as for upgrades, i can get you some parts that you need..i still have a few connections from when i owned my own business..

i've got a mechanic in kilworthy,just south of gravenhurst,very good guy.he is the only mechanic that will touch my '88 gta.
