Well I did it, i bought and installed a set of reverse indiglo guages for the Iroc. I must say they are a vast improvement over the dull lighting that was there. What does everyone think?

i would buy a set for mine if someone made them so that the speedometer would read in km (bigger) instead of miles.

 

That looks ok to me. Not **** at all. Now if it were in neon hot pink or something.....

 

How hard was the install? What kind of lights are used, LED? Kinda like the looks of them better than plain old White faced gauges.

 

Not really a fan of the indiglo gauges. The bright center really turns me off from them, if just the numbers and needle lit up I'd like them a whole lot more.

yeah, MPH is not for some people (i.e. the rest of the world). I like them, but if you could change anything, I'd do away with bright centers. Everything else is awesome.

So how hard would it be now to make the arrows light up? Where did you get these?

 

Looks good. Is your odometer accurate?

 

The install was pretty easy for my dash(90 -92), I didn't have to remove any of the guage needles. I did use some double sided tape to stick the overlays ontop of the existing guages. the wiring was a piece of cake, you know that usless light you have underneath the vents in the middle of the dash? well I eliminated it cut off the plug going to the light and hooked up the WFG wires to this plug, then I plugged that into its harness connector and voila, done , plus real easy to remove when I need to.

 

Thanx, the odometer is of course in Kilometers per hour and yes its accurate.

Thats how they came, I seen them on E bay and placed a bid, the whole thing ended up costing me 38 bux canadian to my door.

 

Not for me. I'm an avid "keep it clean, keep it stock" looking.

But whatever floats you're needle.

And you mean spedometer.

how does the high beam look when it shines thru? and how about the other lights. i dont have that light in the center of my dash under the vents could you wire it to the hvac and have the same effect?

MAN I wish they had them for the 1989 cars in 245 km/h I been waiting for that since the 4th gens have had them. They would go good with my autometer C2 guages .


You happen to know off hand if they had them for the 89's ?

Wow, this thread came back from the dead! As far as wiring is concerned, try doing a search on the electrical board and if nothing specific post this question there. The other lights shine through pretty good, high beam looks fine.

 

I got these off of ebay, did a camaro search one day and these came up. I think I won them for 9 bux U.S.

 

I have seen different styles of indiglo for the 90 -92 guages, some just green or blue regular indiglo and the reverse indiglo style like mine. Again E bay is a good place to look.

 

I like them...all except for the middle part where the needle is. I wish it wasn't that awful white glow color...

 

Nice looking guages..except that center.

Maybe it's just the pictures,but it looks like it would be very distracting.

i have the macewan ones and they are nice, but i think those would be soooo much more of an asset to my car.
