It's pretty easy to do yourself... that's what I would recommend.

If the wheels came with no clear coat to begin with, you could just wipe the overspray off with some nasty solvent and be done with it. If the wheels have clear coat "from the factory" definitely do not try this.

i did take it back to the shop and he starts trying to rub it off with paint thinning, and of course it starts takeing off the orignal clear coat so i flip on him. He has the nerve to say i gave u a good deal you should not be complaining. So anyway im in the process of taking him to court but its going to take awhile and i want the rims fixed before summer. I took pics of the damage and even video taped it all so i can fix the damage. Man I wish i never took my car to that shop! Oh and he even scratched up my 335$ exhaust tips while sanding the bumper. I dont think i ever hated someone as much i hate this guy.

You haven't been ripped off too much have you.

Carcone's Auto Recycling in Newmarket does wheel refinishing (some sort of side business they run)- but apparently this sort of service isn't cheap. Don't have the website url - but check www.canada411.com

Thanks for the replys. Thanks for the numer, there still open so im going to have them check out the damage and hope it dont cost me more then i payed for the rims and tires lol. The shop is called R&S Auto and a guy named Rohan owns it, there number is (416) 602-4192. Dont ever go to this shop! they will mess your car up!

does anyone know if its possible to get off the clear coat they got on the rims without effecting the rims orignal clear coat? Or are they going to have to redo the whole rim? If so does it cost alot?

Thanks again

Jason

If they overshot clearcoat on your rims- without any prep work (i.e. sanding)- the newer clearcoat may flake off (slowly) on its own- try pressure washing the rims (at a 45 degree angle to the surface) and see if it starts to peel.
