general babble

hey all,

Just to let everyone know that Im not dead . Just been really busy.

I know this is a question that I ask every year, but is anyone going to importfest?

If you decide to go feel free to drop by and say hello. Most of you know my car and if you dont, it is the iroc with 20s, air ride and a body kit. (hard to miss)

Also, Im finally doing the motor in the iroc. It goes in after the show (importfest) and wont be out until camaro nats next year. 350 with some head work, cam and valves and some nice looking upgrade goodies (power coated).

Take care

yes that was me, and no it still is not on the road. It will be back on the road next year fully certified and ready to go.

Ron, yes a camaro at importfest. Unfortunately, I have to go to an import show to get any love. The camaro guys (mostly the judges) mock it and call it a honda.

Im not worried however, because now, finally, I can lift my hood in confidence and maybe just maybe, now that I have motor work done, I will be treated fairly and not as an outsider because of the way the car looks because it doesnt have a motor with tons of chrome. (but it will) :P

Iroc2nv

ps. Please dont take this post as a hit against the camaro nats because that is not what it was meant to do, but merely how the vehicle was thought of due to the lack of motor work and the opinions of the judges doing my class and what they thought a camaro (modified) should have.

I dont know exactically what place I finished in, but I know I was in the top 5.
The car that won the division was a 2005 300c hemi worth $100,000 and fully sponsored, so I dont feel bad.

As for what Im doing for the motor. Its a crate motor, (roughly 320hp) and then doing some head work, new valves, lifters, and cam and doing some work with the tpi setup

In all honesty though, Im just paying for it, not doing any of the work.
