Help w/ Towing issues

Hey, I'm considering buying this car but its got no motor. The car is in Oshawa, and I live in toronto. I know buying the car and calling a towing company to tow it that far will probably demolish my bank account. Any of you guys have any ideas on what i could do? Maybe if you know a place i can get a flatbed if its cheaper? or maybe if you guys know a reasonable towing company? I dunno, but i would hate to pass this up and considering the car is like 2thousand dollars and I'm a student i don't have hundreds to blow on transporting the car.

Get a CAA membership....best "investment" I make every year. They will ask you if it is plated etc when you call....just tell them yes, the drivers never care. I have had many cars towed over the years with them with no plates etc.

I've got a buddy with a CAA membership, maybe if he calls they can do it since he doesnt use all his free tows during the year? how much do you think it would cost to get the thing from oshawa to toronto? cause I heard the complimentary tows are only like 10km radius.

If you have a hitch on your vehicle, you could see how much to rent a car dolly or car hauler from U-haul, they may even have tow bars available. Could also try an equipment rental company, they might have tow bars for rent.

Or maybe a good hearted member will help out.

If theres a good hearted member with a pickup and hitch, I'll pay for the gas and i'll rent a towbar or whatever. maybe i know someone with a hitch.

Re: Help w/ Towing issues

If you get the CAA + its 250KM's free towing.

I think a memebership is like $100...or if you have someone in your family who has one...just get an "associate" membership..its like 60 bones.

Well worth it just for the "free" towing.
