who tunes thirdgens in the GTA? I installed a 350 tpi in my car and at about 4000 rpm or so it bogs, not sure why, id like to get it figured out. So basically i need someone around toronto who knows tpi and can help me out, if anyone knows let me know, thanks guys

 

- are you throwing any codes?
- did you upgrade from 305 tpi? or Carb? TBI?
- I would buy a fuel pressure guage and see what is happening at 4k

the system is injected so you are either failing too lean or way rich. If its not fuel starved than the system is killing your timing.

Tuning TPI can be an insightful experience I recall I lost about 700 rpms once when replacing my knock sensor by tightening it too much. Backed it off and got my rpms back.

 

Talk to hawk92Z-TDZ he does a lot of TPI tuning and is just north of Mississauga.

thanks for the info guys, I appreciate it. In the end i figured it out and wont need anyone.. was just my ignition module going bad.. the simplest things are usually the ones..

 

Very true,the lil things can come back and take a nasty bite out of you but if you ever do start modding and want to get the most bang out of your setup..Hawk is the way to go hands down.
