STOCK AND MOMO WHEELS

I am planning to install a Sweet quick disconnect in the race car. 1985 IROC.

Sweet makes an unit that has the MOMO/SPARCO 6 hole pattern.

I pulled my horn pad off the car and found the stock wheel also has a 6 hole pattern.

Does anyone know if it is the same dimensions as the Momo? Can someone measure a Momo and tell me the distance from one hole across the wheel to another? Stock wheel is 85 mm.

Who stocks Sweet in Canada?

Re: STOCK AND MOMO WHEELS

May not get any answers on the ontario board as it's pretty much done.

Try the interior board - some fanboy there might have done the swap or paid someone else to do it.

I'd even post it on the suspension board as there's a few people on there who know what they're talking about and a steering rig is sort of suspension related.

No one on fraxx had any answers ?

Why not just buy the fukin release part and if the old wheel fits then fine - if it doesn't then pick up a wheel that does.

Edit:

JohnB has some sort of expensive wheel in his IROC - like Momo or whatever - ask him.

In fact, why don't you just forget about it and hire me to drive the car - I don't give a rats about fancy steering wheels..lol

Re: STOCK AND MOMO WHEELS

Re: STOCK AND MOMO WHEELS

Ordered a Momo MOD 78 off eBay and called Sweet to order the weld on quick disconnect.

I also ordered a wider Kirkey seat and a rear weight jacker kit.

Stock steering wheel will be for sale in May. One of the spare Kirkeys will also be for sale.

Re: STOCK AND MOMO WHEELS

The diameter of the 6 bolts on the factory pattern is bigger. An adapter is required for a perfect fit but i was in a rush when i did mine at the end of my swap and did not want to wait for more parts to arrive so i just bent the arms in a little and bolted my Momo competition wheel right onto the stock bracket. I also unbolted the plastic collar off my stock wheel and using trim adhesive carefully glued it to the back of the momo wheel. Functions and looks great no one has ever noticed anything odd about it.
