Would you sell just the motor?

 

No I did not have the problem resolved with Straightline.I havent had the time to pull the motor and bring it to them for further inspection.Andy did come down to see it running and insisted it was my water pump that was knocking.Needless to say it wasnt that,Ive since then parked the car and lost all interest in that motor ...and with dealing with Straightline to have it fixed.The motor itself is still under 1yr warranty period,I do start it now and then as the knocking has quieted down some and no signs of metal shavings in the 3 oilchanges Ive done to make sure nothing in the bottom end is coming apart.

So Im selling the motor as is..mostly for the price of the heads and lil odds and ends.I dont want to have this thing sitting around after my lsx swap and the funds can surely help me with the swap in general.Im sure someone can easily fix the motor and use lots of parts on it.The hsr is in good shape..as is the pullies,headers,y pipe,heads,cam etc.And the ecu is already chipped and comes with all tuning software for the ostrich 2.

 

did you try running it without the belts(s)

 

Yea that was the first thing I tried and wasnt the issue.

 

Let me know if you decide to sell the headers / y-pipe separately. I'm in Mississauga this week.
