Oh yah... they're real reliable... about as reliable as any of the garbage that GM made in the 80's... not as bad as the early 90's FWD though.

Nope. They would be just as reliable as any other car if they were driven like any other car. However if you are like me and spend 50% of your time at redline and going sideways down the road they tend to break for some strange reason.

The only time my 83TA has ever let me down was when the fuel pump cashed in its chips right after I took the car out of storage one year.

I drive the car hard too. But so far so good and it's nearly 20 years old.

It's an LG4 with headers and Hooker catback so maybe there's not enough power there to do any serious damage.

Karsten is right though. If you hammer your car all the time it's going to break
