SFCs, back-orders and frustration

I went to Rudy Helds (New Hamburg) after work today to order my MAC SFCs for dual cat f-body for $202.79 CDN. I am at the counter and the RH guy calls his supplier who says there is a 2-3 week back-order on this item.

Last week they told me it would be there in 24hrs. Today they tell me 2-3 weeks and after pressing RH's supplier I find out it may be as much as 4-6 weeks. Give me a break. They asked if I wanted to order (pay in advance) but I said NO -- not if they can't tell me when the parts will be in...

Does anyone have a line on MAC SFCs ?

thx,
RP.

Hey palric, is this the first time dealing with RH? I have talked to them a couple of times and they have always told me that it would take a day to get the items in.
I have heard some horror stories from guys that had their engines built by Rudy, and they vow never again. Just curious what, if any, your past experiences have been like with them.

I'm not sure what to make of Rudy Held ?

I've never purchased anything from RHs before so can't say if they are ok or not. I just don't like being told one day that I could have the MACs overnight only to be told the next day it will take 2-3 weeks. Pretty hard to plan around that !

I am going to check a few other sources for the MACs but will probably end up ordering them from from RH, grumble abit about having to wait so long for parts and wait to see how it works out ?

Hey Nathan, I tried summitracing yesterday and they said they don't have MACs which doesn't make sense because last Christmas they said they DID have MACs. Go figure ?

Hey 92Zeddar, I think RHs price is rock bottom already. Don't think they will cut the price for group sales but I'll ask 'em today.

thx,
RP.
