I finally received the Jamex strut brace by UPS. No scratches, dents or other damage -- looks like a brand new unit to me.
I am not sure how you hook this thing up and was hoping I could convince you to post a pic or two of yours installed so I would have clue how to do this thing ?
thx much,
RP.

I will try to get some pics before the weekend. Is there such a thing as a "While you wait" photomat? Anyways, you are going to need four 3/8" bolts that are about 2"-3" long. You will also need 4 bolts with nylon lock inserts, 4 lock washers, and 8 flat washers. Try to get stainless or zinc plated hardware since this stuff is going to get wet. I first installed my STB using very sticky 3M double sided tape. This allows you to check plenum and hood clearance. Once I had the brackets positioned properly I marked the drill holes using a sharpy marker. I then drilled increasingly larger holes using different drill bits until I was at 3/8". I then installed the brackets and cross bar. I also painted my brackets the other day because I thought the dayglow orange was cheesey.

ok great
Thx for the info. I'll be sure to buy you a gracias beer at the GB weekend.
I was worried about denting my hood for poor clearance -- the tape idea is great, never occured to me to try that ? I'll pick up the bolts tomorrow.
Hope you can get some pics cause I am still not sure where the landing zone is for the brackets and do they fit this way ot that way... ???
thx,
RP.
