This morning at Heidts. The red and blue 3rd gens already have they're new IRS installed.

 

Looks like a nice place to have the show. Hopefully I'll be able to go again this year.

The Expo is getting all kinds of serious this year. Heidts hosted a hospitality stop on the HOTROD Power Tour last year, they know how to do events like this and they have been an incredible partner so far. They are 100% serious about this event, and about supporting the thirdgen platform, we have met with them, and are in daily communication with them at this point, and we couldn't ask for a more supportive group. Charlie and I are eager to release details as soon as they are ironed out, but based on the vendors we are talking to, high end 3rd gen show and race cars planning to attend, this is going to be THE biggest event for these cars in the nation. If you're a thirdgen guy, you can't miss this event.

My advice to you is, unless you really, really, really like this person getting married, just send them a gift and show up to Expo.

I'll be there... missed the last 2 thirdgen fests... just need to fix a fuel line leak and a noisy pilot bearing. It's almost 'maro weather. ..

Update!

We've just received word that the Heidts SEMA Camaro will in fact be at Expo as well as one of the Hawks Camaros.

 

I so want to drive out for this, but I don't think the 'Vert will be at all ready. Hopefully next year.

 

Drop me a PM if anyone is doing a long haul from CA, AZ, NM, NV....I am considering this drive and a push would help.

 

We may have to do a long distance award!

 

Seriously debating doing the long haul from Quebec. I mean, what's 15 hours for a show like this?

 

From the beginning Charlie and I have been striving to make this the MUST ATTEND event in the nation for thirdgen enthusiasts. We are working to get thirdgen specific vendors, a fantastic selection of cars and have more than just a show, but a place where fellow thirdgenners can meet, discuss the cars we love, make new friends, and maybe learn something in the process. With the vendors we currently have lined up, and the vendors we are hoping to get on-board, we are doing all we can to assemble an event worth traveling for. Hope to see you ALL there!

Does this event really wrap up at 2pm? 5 hours? It's an 11+ hour round-trip for this show from where I'm at.

 

I haven't gotten formal confirmation from Heidts, but I highly doubt they will be kicking us out at 2pm sharp. Last year we had people hanging out and talking for a while after the event. I see no reason this year would be different.

 

This sounds like an awesome event. I'm excited to hear about heidts getting into 3rd gens as well. They make excellent products and am set on buying their products for my 69' fastback Mustang.

Won't make this year, maybe not next year but if this continues I will surely make the drive for this in the future. 17.5 hour drive, would be a nice cruise.

It will be interesting to see where this thing goes.

All I can tell you is that Jeremy and myself threw this this event together last year, at the last minute, in the alley behind Perry's shop - and still had 66 3rd gens show up.

This year, we have a far larger venue, far more organized, far more vendor support, and interest from folks all over the country. I've had folks from both coasts and everywhere in between tell me they are coming. I think it's going to be a great time.

Anyone else tired of going to a car show or cruise night and only seeing one or two 3rd gens? Yeah, me too !

 

I might be there with my Firebird.

Is the parking lot large enough to park my truck and trailer? I'll only have maybe a week or two of seat time in the car and I won't trust it yet for that long of a drive. It's gonna have to be hauled.

 

Charlie and I are ironing out fine details like that, but I'm sure there is plenty of room at Heidt's facility to park a truck and trailer.

If I have the tune, in tune, it will be a Triple Yay.

 

I know some of you had asked me about space for trailers, tow vehicles, etc... I just checked in with the folks at HEIDTS and we will have plenty of parking for your trailers and tow vehicles.

you can pre-register by following the other thread above this one...or register at the show...show up a wee early...enough eye candy(car version) to look at...
