Third Gen Fest '10'
Re: Third Gen Fest '10'
We just added a lot of Thirdgen Fest '10 info in a couple "sticky" threads on this board so you can find most of the information you need there. Most info will be posted as it becomes available.

Re: Third Gen Fest '10'
I would like to try to make it but i have alot of work to go on my mine before it will be ready, i'm finally starting to put my engine back together. i just need to order an clutch disc pressure plate throw out bearing. (btw if any1 knows a good place to order 1 id like to hear it). Fix my steering column, new exhaust, headers out. and i need to reinforce the frame. and of course body work. but if all goes well would love to be there.

I'll definitely be coming most likely.
Although if my firebird sells I may be coming thirdgenless in my talon :/
Either way I hope to be there?

Re: Third Gen Fest '10'
Can we really do burnouts in the street? Don't your neighbors get pissed?! I won't have my Camaro but maybe if I rev my 2.0 Protege up to 6k and slam it into drive I could chirp the tires
It would be a good race with any tbi cars

Re: Third Gen Fest '10'
Such a shame as we planning to ship our Camaro back across from the UK and drive it across the states this summer but we're looking at August!

Re: Third Gen Fest '10'
I seriously doubt that my F-Body will be in good enough condition to bring up by then... I will do my best to make it anyways - with or without my Camaro! I missed it last year due to a deployment
I would be very interested in seeing some of these beauties up close and possibly getting a few ideas to incorporate into mine...

Re: Third Gen Fest '10'
What do you know I get one weekend off a month and I'm off the 29th. Now we need a daily driver class. I'll even leave the snow tires on to prove it's worth. Hate to park my DD in with all the pretty cars

i will be coming again this year. But first I need a new 700r4 trans mine is shot right now. but i can't wait.
Re: Third Gen Fest '10'
People definitely don't have to worry that their car isn't "good enough" to be here. There's plenty of daily driver's and project cars here every year as well. Thirdgen Fest is really more of an "event" than a "show". This is a fun, laid back event and all thirdgens are welcome.
Also, we try to keep cars together with others in similar condition so if you have a project car or daily driver that needs some work you don't have to be worried about getting put next to some of the nicest cars there.

I remember several years ago I brought my car with no doors, hatch, fenders, front or rear bumpers, etc. Even took home a trophy too. Car was a lot faster with all that weight reduction though

Re: Third Gen Fest '10'
some people have brought parts to sell, but since the owner of thirdgen ranch runs this, whatever parts you could possibly want he should have at a good price as well.

Well due to my current loss of employment, I won't be going anywhere this year for vacation. So I will most likely be showing up for the event. I have been wanting to go for several years anyway.

Well that us both good and bad. Really though, sucks that you lost your job. I've been thinking about starting in an apprenticeship program but I wonder if any companies would even want to take part in that with the economy the way it is...
