Re: THIRDGEN FEST 2011!!
This is thirdgenfest. What luck though! Someone should save this picture! Google Earth just HAPPENS to use the picture of Denny's house from Thirdgenfest.

I will be there.

I know, how cool is that??? Unfortunately, they used a picture from a year that we had one of our worst turnouts ever. (It also looks to be early in the day before everybody had gotten there.) I guess it's better than nothing.

That pic must be early, none of my cars are in it, at least that I can tell.
I will be there as always, haven't missed one yet, neither has my son, but he just turned 1

Re: THIRDGEN FEST 2011!!
that blue thirdgen next to his house is killer looking
judging by the huge chrome air cleaner on my car...that has to be 2005ish I'm thinking
for the right amount I'd slide right out of my camaro and into a 70 nova

Re: THIRDGEN FEST 2011!!
I'm debating between going to this or the Trans Am nationals this summer. I try to do at least 2 long distance car shows a year. It'll all come down to 2 things, my GTA getting painted in time and if I have time off of work (even though I'm still looking for another Summer gig).
Is anyone heading out from the Pittsburgh area? I'm all for a caravan.

Re: THIRDGEN FEST 2011!!
Anyone coming from the St Louis area? I planned on going to G15 that weekend but decided against it because my wife needs money to pay for her summe classes. Third Gen Fest is about half the distance for me and the total cost would be a fraction. I may consider it if I can find some people to caravan with. I doubt I'd be motivated to make the trek alone...

Re: THIRDGEN FEST 2011!!
I too will maintain my streak of NEVER missing a Thirdgens Festival. Only bringing the 88 IROC Vert this year. The 92 is in a million pieces this year, stripped to the frame and won't be back until next year.

Re: THIRDGEN FEST 2011!!
I can't wait for this. I'm getting really antsy as I haven't even been able to take the car out this year yet. I'm hoping to have a shiny new rear end in the car by the time I make the drive just in case anyone wants to have some fun (away from the show)

Re: THIRDGEN FEST 2011!!
i really wanna caravan. so i can start from indianapolis indiana. so i will meet anywhere from downtown indy to thirdgen fest in illinios. please let me know. need to figure contact, location, and time. alot of people are saying they wanna caravan but no one has made "solid" plans as to who is and where to meet. so lets work together and figure this out. Re: THIRDGEN FEST 2011!!
You definitely won't have anything to worry about. As already stated, there are cars here every year ranging from rough to perfect along with everything in between. In fact, we added the "Best Project" award this year to encourage more project cars and daily driver's to show up. Also, we try to park cars along with others in similar condition so you won't have to worry about your project car being parked next to some perfect low mileage car or big money restoration. Also, many of the nicest cars attending now were here as "projects" just a few years ago so the project cars and daily drivers get more respect here than they would at many other shows. Hopefully, we'll see you there!!!
