Are this simptoms of a bad MAFS?
I'm having problems at idle; when I stop at I light, the engine goes to about 500rpm and it sounds like it has a big *** cam. It acts like is going to die. When I sart it in the morning, it dies like two or three times. On the highway runs like a champ, and when I step on the gas, it does too.
I checked the voltage at the TPS and it was .53V.
Then I unpluged the MAFS, and after a few seconds, the idle was very smooth at about 900-1000rpm. Then I plugged it again, and there was the crapy idle again. And when I tap it a little with a srewdriver, nothing hapends.
It is not giving me any trouble codes right now, but last week the SES light turned on one time, I checked the codes when I got home, and it gave me trouble code 44 O2 sensor lean.
What do you guys think, and if it is the MAF, what do you sugest (diferent brands or prices).
I apreciate any info.

It sure sounds like MAF synptoms but I'm surprised it's strong beyond idle. Check to see if the burn-off relay is heating the wire for two seconds after shutoff (it glows bright red).
But first pull the IAC and clean the pintel and it's bore with TB cleaner. Also clean the TB and throttle plates. Since it's an idle problem, it's possible that the IAC is carboned up or needs adjustment or replacement.
The cold start injector could be stuck On.
Here a scan tool would give necessary info on MAF readings, O2 sensor readings, IAC steps commanded, etc.
