why is it ideling so high?
why does my car idle at between 1500 and 2000 RPM,s? usually its right on 1500 but somtimes it surges up to 2000 rpms. its really getting on my nerves and is hell on my breaks and gas millage in town

Check for vacuum hose leaks or opens.
Pull the IAC and clean the pintel and bore with TB cleaner; clean the TB bore and throttle plates ONLY with TB cleaner. Then reset the base idle (method on my site) and the TPS base idle value (if adjustable).
