No spark!
No spark!
Hi there guys,
I just swapped out my blown 305 for a 350 short block in my 89 formula. I am already to go and turn the key and then no spark. I have replaced my coil and module and am getting power to the coil. Any suggestions where to look next? I have one left over connector that i couldnt find a place to plug in. Its a single black wire that comes off the same section of the harness as the o2 sensor and has a single female connector on the end? Could that be the cause.
Thanks

I'll assume the engine is turning over, and no spark is coming from the plug wires? Or no spark coming from the coil wire?
Your post is somewhat misleading...you indicate that you're "ready to turn the key"...which means you haven't...and unless you do, and the engine is turning over, you won't have spark..well, if lined up right sometimes you may get one shot...but 99.9% of the time, you won't.
Please elaborate some.

I finally got it, had the wrong plug in the distributor for power. It was supposed to be plugged into to bottom of plenum, and the one i had in plenum was power for distribitor. Im a moron. Haha, thanks anyways.
