19lb/hr or 22lb/hr???
19lb/hr or 22lb/hr???
I have a 1989 5.0 with a 5-speed. I need fuel injectors but the car has 136,000 miles on It. I also believe that the motor in my car could blow at any moment and I will not be rebuilding the 305. The 350 will be the mill of choice. I believe that the 305 in the 1989 with 2 cats had five or 10 hp less then the 350.
CAN I GET A WAY WITH THE 350 INJECTORS?
Could I play with the fuel pressure to make it work? Has anyone done this?

With the mods on the IROC I"m currently running Corvette 22# injectors.
You can run them on a stock LB9 by reducing the fuel pressure; not the best way to go but ok if only temp. In that case get a set of used injectors and have Rich recondition and flow test them for $80/set.
If you're going to install a stock L98, just have your LB9 19# injectors reconditioned and run them at higher fuel pressure.

You can easily get away with 22, or even 24 lb injectors on your Lb9, but Your going to need to change the injector constand in the PROM and perhaps wankle with the fuel pressure a bit to get it right.
Turning down the pressure whilst leaving the injector constant at 19# is a band-aid. Might as well get the PROM burning equipment now, especially if you have L98 swap plans in the future.

Watch the Block Learn, the Integer will recenter itself when the
Block Learn stabalizes. Seeing what cell the Block Learn is in will
tell if you are good or not. If it is rich the BL will drop below 128.
