My compliments to John on the LT1 intake!

I'm running a 408 with the altered LT1 intake.

This man even sent me some fuel line fittings, because I didn't have a pep boys around! Great guy.

Man I sold my old Tune port intake and slp runners last week for $200 and said good riddens! Best and cheapest move I made yet. D@mn vacuum leaks every where on that thing. Didn't let my engine breath past 5500. It was good for a truck and that's about it.

John Ya had great instructions on doing that mod. I just wish I had added that 6 degrees angle on the distributer spacing for a tight fit. But no problems here! The little loss of torque is made up by the rpm range.

It revs up smooth, not a single vacuum leak! Easy to bolt on. Easy to swap or fix injectors. Everybody brags on the good looks and on being different. Thermostat is easy to change. It even runs cooler with this setup some how. Talking about a 408 running at 170 degrees at idle and 160 cruising!

Best thing I've learned on thirdgen.org yet! and will be hard to beat.
great find dude :hail:

How much did the swap cost?I'd really like to do this but don't know if I can save enough to not go with the stealth ram.

Yea...John is a great guy. He helped me with a MAF to MAP swap and even overnighted me a chip at his cost because the guy who is trying to get my motor to run said he needed it that day, but the d@mn thing is still not running

If you need anything done to your wiring harness John is the man

Thanks again
