Smog Pump Removal Question

I have a 1989 Formula Firebird with a 305 TPI. I have read all the questions on the smog pump removal but I haven't found a answer to mine. I have the dual cat system and I have 2 connectors that go to the switch valve, the computer fires these solonoids to change where AIR goes. Do I just leave these unplugged and if so these do not affect computer??? From what I see it doesn't give a input to computer, just ECM gives output to it. Thanks for the help.

Take it all off!!

I had mine unplugged for a few years and passed emissions twice, like that and with a hollowed out converter.

I say you should just remove the smog pump etc.... it really cleans up under the hood.
there is a tech article on this site on how to reroute the belt after removing the smog pump.

I heard also you need to hollow out cat. convertor or it will stop up if you take the smog pump off, is this true, we don't have the smog test here but just wondering...Thanks for the reply Dave84Bird

You can just disconnect them, it will not affect anything.
