Hey Guys,

My power steering pump that I got from Autozone has two ports on the back of the resovior that came with a plug in them? I have no idea what they are for. There is the pressure out port, the return line tube and then these two "smallish" looking holes that look threaded a little bit on.

I don't know what they are for.

Buy a radiator from autozone some time


You'll be trying to figure out about 6 extra 'ports'

the stuff sold there is as generic as they can possibly get it so just because their is accomidations on a pump doesn't mean you necissarily need them all.

 

the ports mean nothing. just hook your PS pump up the way the factory one was. tpi_roc is right about autozone stuff. i have an autozone PS pump on my 91 and I think it sucks. i bought one from then and put it in and it lasted 10 miles and the shaft broke off the unit inside. i got another one but this one has a hard spot in it as soon as you begin to turn the wheel then it gets easier. one thing i will never buy from autozone is sensors. been there done that. I went from a 305 to 350 and bought every single new sensor from the dealer and got AC/Delco parts. ya its more money but its OEM stuff.
