both fans on at the same time.
Ok my cooling fans come on at the same time, SOMETIMES. I have not yet found a reason for the intermittent event. It has done this for a while and i only noticed the damage at the track the other day, when neither fan would come on. The orange feed wire had burnt up. Sometimes only the left fan (looking from the nose) turns on. The problem is this when both fans engage it is SMOKING my orange feed wire. This is the wire with a fusible link on it over by the battery. This wire get s hot to the point of burn through. I really need to get this under control as, i am not going to gut the wire harness and replace for a fault the should not be happening. Please help.

Re: both fans on at the same time.
Why don't you just pull out the fan harness and fix that on the bench? It's just that 6-prong connector and comes out with the secondary fan relay and the plugs to the fans.
Anyway it sure sounds like a couple wires are crossing somewhere. Hopefully it's in the "mini" fan harness and not before the 6-prong connector on the main engine harness.
