Does anyone know if the ford explorer with the 4.0 in it really came with 30lb injectors. A buddy of mine found some that have about 40k miles on them in a wrecked explorer. The guy has 3 of the explorers in a salvage yard. And they all have 40k miles or less. THe injectors look like there red.

Theres no way that engine came with 30# injectors stock. No forced induction, not really much power... they are probably 19# stock.

 

madmax is right, there is no way they could be 30# injectors.
The 460 is the only "standard" Ford engine to use the 30#'s.

Turbo-coups, Super-coups and Scorpios use like 32# injectors
but that's about it.
