injector harness ground resistance?

I just had the lovely multech injectors go bad on my '89 Formula! after some searching, I learned that the ground side of the injector harness should be 40 ohms or greater. I checked mine, and it is 27 ohms on each side of the engine Is this okay, or is the ground circut in the ECM faulty? or am I thinking too much?

dont ohm the injector harness, ohm the injector itself to see if it went bad

Yes, did that, they checked good(17 ohms) but one was hanging open- passed air thru when I sucked on it-that sucked-and it filled the cranck case with gas! Not to mention that it went only 12 miles on a Quarter tank of gas!! I called Crusin performance to see if their cleaning would prevent this, and he said that the '89 "multech" injectors are no good and 82000 miles is their limit. I found in the archives the 40 ohm reference, but since mine was different, I thought i should see if this was a bigger problem...
